Following the results of Tuesday’s municipal elections, the City of Apopka now will host a runoff election for City Council seats 1 and 2 on April 10.
The city will have the same two voter precinct locations: Precinct 9104 at the Apopka Community Center, 519 S. Central Ave.; and the newly created Precinct 9204 at the Northwest Recreation Complex Administrative Office, 3710 Jason Dwelley Parkway.
Registered voters are encouraged to participate in the election. It is important to know your correct voter precinct (see attached maps). To check your address, visit the Orange County Supervisor of Elections at http://www.ocfelections.com/voter_lookup/FindPollingPlace.aspx .
Many voters on the north side of Apopka north of U.S. Highway 441will go to Precinct 9204 at the Northwest Recreation Complex Administration Office. Signs at that recreation complex will direct voters to the correct building. Other voters – most who live south of U.S. Highway 441 – will go to Precinct 9104 at the Apopka Community Center.
The precincts will open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 10.
Voters also may request vote-by-mail ballots from the Supervisor of Elections until April 4. Visit www.ocfelections.com for more information. Voters who opted for the vote-by-mail ballots for Tuesday’s election will automatically receive the vote-by-mail ballots for the April 10 runoff election – no need to make another request.
Early voting will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 2-6 at the Supervisor of Elections office, 119 West Kaley Street in Orlando. For questions, call the Apopka City Clerk at (407) 703-1704.
